Jennersville Hospital

Investing in the Health and Well-Being of Our Community

Since becoming part of Tower Health last fall, one of our early actions was to take steps to restore our historical standing as a non-profit institution — investing any profits we generate back into our people, our hospital and our technology to support the health and wellness of our Jennersville community. With $3 million planned to reinvest during the next 12 months and $2.1 million reinvested since October 2017, we’re strengthening nearly every aspect of your care, including:

  • Quality of Care – We’ve implemented state-of-the-art technology, equipment and systems to enhance quality of care, patient safety and the patient experience with additional improvements planned in the next 12 months:
    • New patient care equipment including EKG machine and bladder scanners
    • New Operating Room equipment and technology including ureteroscope, colonoscope and ERCP scope for accurate detection of urologic and gastrointestinal conditions
    • Latest Orthopedic Department surgical equipment
    • State-of-the-art additions to lab equipment including enhanced testing capabilities and refrigeration units for storing samples
    • Electronic medical record system to improve patient safety and enhance coordination of your care among all Jennersville Hospital and Tower Health providers. This platform also gives you the ability to communicate electronically with your providers, schedule appointments, view test results and request prescription refills online
  • Access to Care – We’re ensuring you have access to the highest level of expertise in our region by recruiting new physicians, surgeons and specialists to meet the needs of our community.
  • Patient Experience – Your comfort is important to us, and that’s why we’ve already implemented the changes below with other improvements planned in the next 12 months:
    • Upgrades to our Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit including equipment, furniture and painting
    • New hospital roof
    • Installing new HVAC systems
  • Community Outreach – In addition, we’ve expanded our support of local civic groups and non-profits through the following sponsorships, donations and in-kind services:
    • YMCA scholarships and programs
    • The Women’s League for Minority Education
    • Southern Chester County EMS
    • Southern Chester County Chamber of Commerce
    • Oxford Area Chamber of Commerce
    • Penn Township Annual Fair
  • Community Health Needs Assessment – A key component of our non-profit mission is to keep you healthy and well. That’s why we’re collaborating with local representatives to identify our most pressing health priorities. Over the next 12 months, Jennersville Hospital and an advisory board comprised of local public health, government, religious, higher education, minority and low-income representatives will conduct a formal Community Health Needs Assessment. The results will be completed and publicly available by July 1, 2019, with the implementation plan publicly available by November 15, 2019.
